Blue Heat Shrink Covering
Iron on heat shrink filament. Easy to work with, stretches around corners and curves easily without creasing. Lower heat needed and therefore a higher melting point. Comes in a variety of colors. A great quality, economical alternative for the builders out there.
25 inches by 6 feet long
*****Please be sure to test a sample first as your iron may heat differently*****
HEAT SHRINK FILM
- Super strong with a tensile strength of approx. 25,000 psi
- Dry adhesive is activated when heat is applied
- Molds crease free around compound curves and into corners
- High gloss finish
- Fuel proof
This material is designed for models constructed with balsa wood.
**REMOVE THE CLEAR BACKING BEFORE APPLYING**
Apply with a hobby covering iron
We recommend using a ‘sock’ on the iron to prevent scuffing and dulling of the surface.
NOTE: all irons are different, test first. Begin with a low temperature and increase until film adheres to the wood
Note: All colors react differently and heat may need to be adjusted with each color
Corners – heat film then pull and stretch around the corner carefully. Iron to wood. Creases can be smoothed with the iron or a heat gun.
Once adhered, a heat gun may be used to tighten the finished product.
